About LakeBoating.com

This site will contain information about freshwater boating across the US (and possibly international).  We are creating LakeBoating.com because of our frustration while trying to locate places for recreational boating.  The site will have listings of freshwater bodies by state that allow boating.  There will be a discussion forum for each of the lakes or rivers.  This will be a resource not only for people looking to trailer their boats but also people that might be moving to a lake or already live on one so that they can discuss happenings and other items pertaining to that body of water.

The resources will be seeded with information we know about but we will be looking for site visitors to supply information about places they are familiar with.  

A sample of  information we would like users to post about the various lakes or rivers include:

• Are there any boating restrictions?
• Public boat launches?
• Marina facilities
• Best places in the area for boat maintenance/repair
• Events happening
• Good places to visit
• Restaurants or other establishments accessible via water or near by
• Issues facing residents/user of lakes.
• Snowmobiling/Ice skating during winter?
